The Merchant Vintner Ltd. is founded on the basic principle of supplying good wine for good value. What began a single owner operation in 1976 has now grown to an exceptional portfolio with a strong representation within the LCBO Vintages and a growing client list for Consignment Wines.

Currently we have 7 employees, who cover all aspects of our business.

Tony Hirons

Tony Hirons, our founder, is largely responsible for the day-to-day operations. He is in constant contact both with our suppliers for the retail market, and with the buying teams of the LCBO Vintages.

Based upon our long, well established and trusted relationship with the LCBO our future goal is to expand our business to the LCBO’s General List. Given our history and reputation we will have the ability to promote and maintain brand exposure.

We have a dynamic and experienced sales staff that specifically targets the “on premise” market. In the past year, we have hired representatives in key Ontario Markets, specifically Ottawa and the South West, including London, Stratford, Cambridge and Windsor.
